Practicing mindfulness through daily activities.

The Dubuk Jungto Retreat Center invites you to experience a 21st century Buddhist Sangha, complete with Barugongyang (a traditional formal Buddhist meal), morning and evening chanting and meditation, and much more! While all Jungto retreat centers have similar characteristics, the Dubuk Jungto Retreat Center places a unique focus on farming and material upcycling as an experimental model for sustainable communal living. As a volunteer, you will learn to cultivate a practitioner’s mindset while working on the farm, in the upcycling warehouse, and throughout other daily activities at the retreat center.

Every day is an opportunity to practice.

Lighten your mind and body as you work.

Staying at the Dubuk Jungto Retreat Center keeps me healthy, with Barugongyang, chanting, and physical work helping me stay present and appreciate the food. The meals, made from farm-fresh vegetables, are especially satisfying, and I look forward to returning with fellow practitioners.
